Web Almanac Performance Chapter: overview and behind the scenes

A few months ago, 2024 Web Almanac, HTTP Archive’s annual state of the web report went live with the first chapters, including the Performance one. Authoring this chapter, as well as leading the team, was a completely new and very interesting experience. In this talk, I would like to give you some behind-the-scenes of how this chapter came to life and do a brief overview of our most interesting findings. Hopefully, it inspires some of you to join the team this year for the 2025 edition.
